14th and Bloomfield for rent – what should come next?

Readers of Hoboken411 know the pulse of retail spots in town. Like these two guys, the old Uptown Bagels (r.i.p., John), and Uptown Liquors (sold spot). That, plus Puerto Spain is also up for sale – so the landscape near 14th and Bloomfield certainly is in the midst of change.

But what do you think would “survive” in this area? What businesses do both local residents and visitors want or actually have a need for? We already have a convenience store (Nicks), a Dry Cleaner (J&B) and a Nail Salon (V Spot) across the street.

Judging some recent Hoboken trends – one could guess FroYo or Frame Shop?

The Hoboken Photo of the Day is a regularly updated section on Hoboken411.com.

Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.

We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.
