What does Consorte Marketing do exactly?

Consorte Marketing’s tagline is “The Core of Online Business,” and they offer services such as social media optimization, search engine services, affiliate program assistance, online reputation management and other stuff like web design.

According to their site – they claim that they can help online business grow through the services they offer. I saw one site they apparently did for Hoboken cupcake shop Sweet but the current website said it was done by a different designer. They also cite case studies, for a tuxedo shop they helped, as well as a local architect.

I wanted to surf their site more – but got errors like the one below on several of the links on their site. Apparently they’re having issues with their Facebook Comments and contact form plugins. Kind of ironic, I’d say – that a company like this especially has some kinks in their own online property. Hope they can fix it soon!

Consorte Marketing certainly offers many services that are by-products of our rapidly expanding technology and communication outlets. Most of these services were non-existent 20 years ago, and kind of amazing they’re even necessary. But so it is.

Just wanted to comment on your blog about Consorte Marketing. I have been a client of Dennis Consorte for several years now, and I can tell you that the impact that he and his company have had on the success of my business has been nothing short of spectacular. I would recommend Consorte Marketing for any business (small or large) that is looking for high level online marketing.

I think your comments about the issues on the Consorte website were fair, however, I think as a site that represents the Hoboken community, you would have at least asked for a comment from Consorte Marketing for an explaination on their site issues. The title of your post is “What does Consorte Marketing do exactly?” Why not reach out to them and ask them?

I would hate for your post to have a negative impact on their business when they offer such a valuable service to the local community (and beyond).

BTW, do you ever sign your name to your blog posts?

    Thanks,

    Harris Reinhardt

@Harris – Thanks for your comment. I wasn’t knocking Consorte, just telling it like I saw it. Your online presence (especially a site that promotes online presence and web design in particular), is very much a topic to address. And you suggested that I look for comment – sure, that’s in an ideal world – but I treated this as the very same “online marketers” would have treated it. “Your first impression…” (you know the drill)

And I have not tried to hide my name. The administrators handle is Hoboken411. We’ve been online for almost seven years. And my Facebook page (albeit completely locked down) has my name.

In the end – I’m glad these guys have helped you out. What business do you have? Or would you rather not explain who you are?

I’m Dennis Consorte. Thank you for publishing a story about my company. As we have not been approached for an interview, I thought it appropriate to comment below.

We had an attempted breach of our server over the weekend and a developer has been upgrading its security. The errors you saw were because some WordPress plugins had to be upgraded, replaced or removed. As for Sweet, we have been helping them to launch a redesign of their website.

We are a startup, and our clients take priority over everything else, including the marketing of our own services. Most of our clients come through referrals from other satisfied customers, and this keeps us very busy.

I have been an online marketing professional for 10+ years and you can read the details on my LinkedIn profile. I started this business part-time in 2011, and it grew to the point where I needed to be fully engaged and hire staff. We moved to the First Street location 3 weeks ago and putting a sign up last week was the only local marketing we’ve done. The next step is a redesign of our website that is scheduled for some time in May.

I’ve been a Hoboken resident for many years and am glad to contribute to the growth of this community by offering a good service to local businesses while creating jobs.

@Consorte – Hey Dennis – thanks for commenting. Sorry you’ve had issues with WordPress attacks. It seems to be going around. Also – too bad you didn’t email me first too. As a company that specializes in “online reputation,” you’d think that the website should cover all bases, and not require “approaching for interview.”

But I’d be happy to meet up with you to chat more about what you do, the pitfalls, any advice you have to help the local economy.

My initial overview of your new business on 1st Street was fair. I had no desire to nip and tuck one way or another – it was all just off the cuff opinion. I’m having web-attack issues myself. So par for the course.

I’d be happy to meet up with you and share a cup of coffee to connect the dots.

      Cheers!
