Is this your SUV?

11/9/2007:

If so, you better take care of it! It’s been sitting on Garden St. for a few days now. So if it belongs to you or anyone you know, you better hurry! They’ll auction it off, and someone will get a nice ride on the cheap!

I tend to stay away from these parking discussions – because who hasn’t parked on the corner or double parked for a few minutes?
I’ve never parked on a corner because I don’t want to cause someone’s death and I don’t want to get a ticket.

…But that was probably a rhetorical question.

And whoever woke me up this morning because there were honking for 20 minutes because someone double parked them in, call the cops next time. You’re just as bad as them.

The booting is a COMPLETE scam. I got a boot – and it cost me around $300. If you park illegally – the car should be TOWED – it sucks for the parker – but it’s actually cheaper. The booting may deter (sp?) people from parking illegally but it doesn’t remove the car on the corner preventing me from seeing oncomming traffic and putting me at risk.

I tend to stay away from these parking discussions – because who hasn’t parked on the corner or double parked for a few minutes? You can’t blame the parker – but you can blame the system that doesn’t detur people from doing this. And yes, i HATE people who feel they are entitled to double park for hours and who don’t listen for honking (al a KoC and Russo Civic association.)

and, while I’m not advocating breaking the law (I am a lawyer after all, like Starr Jones, but uglier and less pretentious)
is that pre or post surgery starr claims she didn’t have.

I refuse surgery. My beauty is something only God (or religion appropriate diety or non-entity) can appreciate.

True, I didn’t say it was a brilliant idea, and besides, I said I was not advocating breaking the law, Einstein. At what point does humourous antecdotal comments begin to get taken seriously?

As for the sympathy, it is the booting part I have sympathy for, not the punitive nature. Tow the guy, open the space, whatever. However, to assume this person is not a Hoboken person b/c he/she has no sticker is a bit of a presumption. Just becuase they don’t have a sticker means they dont’ have a sticker. Maybe they are letting their buddy use their garage space or something else happened. Maybe they were abducted by aliens. I’m just saying I think the boot is a difficult thing for me to accept, especially since the HPD is always so busy cleaning up homes in Verona.
