Hoboken’s Marciel Presilla wins James Beard Regional Award

Extreme foodies know the importance of winning an annual James Beard Foundation Award.

Marciel Presilla – who operates Cucharamama, Zafra, and Ultramarinos – was named Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic. Which means she beat out all chefs in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. for this prestigious award. It wasn’t the first time she was nominated, but she finally won the coveted title in this year’s ceremony.
