Who owns this parking lot?

UPDATE 2:06pm:

Another reader quickly chimed in with bad news and said:

“That 2nd and Park lot is owned by the Marie’s Bakery people, and it’s not likely to be a parking lot for very much longer. Your reader probably has no shot at getting a spot there because the Zoning Board is about to hear a request for variances that would allow a 100% lot coverage 5-story condo building on that lot. They want to build four stories of condos over a one story garage.”

411 gets questions answered!

Original question 1:44pm:
A reader is very interested in this parking lot on 2nd and Park.

Anyone have any idea of how they can get in touch with who owns it, and if spots are available/is a waiting list?

“Hoboken411,

Do you have any idea who owns or manages the parking lot at 2nd and Park? I am dying to get on a waitlist, see if there are open spots, etc., but cannot figure out who to contact. I can’t find anything online about the lot and there are no signs posted or anything like that. If you know anything, please let me know! Thank you!”

If the owner wants zoning changed, it sounds like they want the hand out.
Why does everyone want a f—ing hand out!!! This is a very small lot (maybe 50’x50′) not some large scale developement that is taking up a whole block. The owners probably had this property for a long time. They took risks by buying it, sticking through the times when Hoboken was a rough town, and paid the taxes on it for years. So, the risky investment paid off (good for them!). Why can’t you just let them build and leave them alone??????
If they want to build as zoned, that is fine. 60% lot coverage is what the rest of us are held to so why should they be any different?

That property has already been before the Zoning Board for approvals for an 8-unit building.

The more interesting feature of this lot in particular are the enormous weeds that surround it. The ‘owners’ should be ashamed of themselves, whether they are selling the property or not, it is really an eye sore.
