Slower week than usual, but it doesn’t mean Hoboken didn’t have it’s share of silly City Politics, comings and goings, and more.

News, items of importance:
- Notable Assault – Most violent crimes are looked over by most people. This anti-gay bias attack draws more attention.
- Gravity Kills – A security guard at Marineview plaza jumps to his death.
Town Government:
- Is it real? Or is it Astro-turf? – The debate ensues over artificial surface being applied at Church Square Park.
- 2hr Council Meeting – But the main reason wasn’t what was on the agenda, but what the public had to say.
- Board of Education – A recap of the meeting.
- What? I can’t hear you! – A reader suggests ways to improve our City noise ordinance.

- Beer tent fest – Annual St. Ann’s Feast ends.

- Pizza (x 7) – Old mainstay late-night pizza joint finally re-opens 15 months after it closed.
- Battaglia’s – Placeholder created for the expanding home furnishings store that is under construction uptown.
- Maybe soup for you – Local business owners decide to bring “The Original Soup Man” to Hoboken. Some people are happy, others are doubtful. Either way, it oughta be tasty.

- Prison Wall broken – The un-friendly wall around the teeny Maxwell Place project is getting a new opening.

In terms of parking you might want to think twice before leaving your new car parked on a Hoboken side street.
Friday night some poor bastard left a brand new black Jeep Cherokee parked between 7th and 8th on Garden.
Saturday morning it was sitting on cinderblocks….
I guess the local Nascar pit crew was bored and decided to steal 4 new tires and wheels…..2 grand down the drain
Had to haul it out on a flatbed further trashing the vehicle….cars just weren’t meant to be dragged on brake drums…..
Now you won’t get booted…..you’re tires’ll get boosted!!!!

Heard from a reliable source that A-Rod who lives in the maxwell dwelling has purchased a place in the new W Hotel AND D. Jeter has joined him and also paper work was submitted for one Jon Bon Jovi….This hotel does attract the rich and famous….time will tell, but a good thing for the City…Hoboken is home to many first and famous….

A-Rod will probably cut his taxes in half. And the rest of the rich and famous will also benefit from the tax abatement that the W condos will enjoy.
By the way, his real last name is not Bon Jovi.

Yeah, the Bon Jovi thing is suspect because of that! Glad you’re on the case Krewedetat. But it will be interesting if celeb do come here. Maybe Bon Jovi can be the next Sinatra Park concert series, opening for Gene D Plumber, LOL

It’s misdirection. Celebrities don’t want people to envy their massive wealth so they point at everyone who is not them.
The gullable know the reality but want to believe the preposterous. Why? Because they all want to be entertained.
