Suicide Jumper

In sad news this morning, I overheard that a man (supposedly a security guard) had jumped to his death from 5 Marine View Plaza. Several readers sent this in. I was wondering why “Medical Examiners” were needed at the location this morning (as overheard on the live police scanner).

More on this later if it becomes available.

Everywhere south of the woodbridge toll plaza on the gsp and east of the gsp is south jersey, further subdivided with everywhere between keansberg and lbi is considered the “shore”. All the area between the gsp and the njtp is central jersey. All west of the njtp is pennsylania, except some penn. native tribes have set up encampments in wildwood and ocean city, where most self respecting jersey people wouldn’t be caught dead in. Thank you Columbus…I for one would fall into the AC category..

Ok since you designed “central Jersey” you should know that in PP backdoors on several properties lead directly to the beach…Furthermore, driving on the Parkway it reads South Jersey Shore points, I dont know maybe its me but if you want you can come down anytime you want to stand corrected…Also, I said the Belmar, PP and SL area, never mentioned the county…Smarten up, whats the matter stuck lookin out your cardboard condo window towards someone across the street…Dont you just love the ocean breeze versus the stiff hoboken wind….if you want drive to PP and walk along the boardwalk and at some point you will see several properties that sit right on the beach front….ill be the guy sitting sipping his jack daniels….
… please stop before hitting submit and ask yourself…
Though it was related to a different topic, GingerBrit’s comment about stopping to think about the bigger picture before doing something potentially rash got me, in turn, thinking. Normally I don’t like thinking because thinking is lame. I’ve known a number of people who committed suicide, and I’ve often wondered whether they still would have done it had they stopped for a moment to think about the longer term ramifications of their act rather than the “here and now”. Now, I never knew Glen, and I’m not trying to imply that any of my ramblings would apply to him or his situation. My pointless comments are more aimed at the people I’ve known who decided to go down the same path. Hopefully h411 has set up his rss feed to the afterlife so they can get this and reply back. Were they so caught up “in the moment” that they didn’t care or somehow managed to minimize the consequence? Alternatively, maybe things had been so bad for so long that they came to the rational decision that this was the most sensible thing to do and no amount of thinking was gonna change anything. (that one’s hard to believe) All of the suicides I know put some level of planning and effort into the preparation – sometimes several weeks worth. Whether it was setting the car up with a pipe over the exhaust pipe, buying enough heroin to do the… Read more »
