Vandals reduce seating in Hoboken

Park bench smashed, eliminated at Elysian Park

One day last week, we noticed that one of the benches over at Elysian Park had been mauled by someone – some of the planks were either missing or damaged.

Several days later, it had been completely removed – leaving one less place to sit in one of Hoboken’s nicest plots of open space.

Why do some people prefer destroying – instead of creating and loving?
