Heavy SW Flooding
12
June
As heard on the live police scanner: Heavy flooding 4th & Jackson, and Harrison between 3rd and 4th.
Maybe instead of $30 pay, electioneers can get scuba masks and snorkels.

How ironic would it be if Campos wins on a day Hoboken floods.
Then again, it floods every day, so maybe it’s not that ironic.

Another flood. Great. Hey maybe the developers can spin it as ‘Beachfront property’?
Enjoy the flood, Campos voters!!

Too bad the flooding can’t just target Campos supporters.

Is this one of those ‘once every 12 years’ type of flood?

I think Campos is dyslexic (I am assuming you are quoting him). It is 12 floods every 1 year.

Don’t let the flooding keep you from voting, you freaks! You know that Stack will have a freaking Ark out there to transport Compost supporters to the polls, with Chris himself at the helm as a later-day Noah. Oh .. wait. Sorry. Noah was a Jew. God forbid, Chris. Sorry, man.
Vote ZIMMER and get all the other yuppie scum on the floors of your luxury condo to VOTE ZIMMER despite the flooding and despite the rain.

A good number of posters here seem to envision Zimmer as a Christ figure. To you, she will flock into Hoboken with greatness and create utopia on Earth. However…
Barring spiritual powers, how does she plan to solve flooding? Of course, through taxes. Flooding will never go away, especially now that sea levels are rising.
In addition, you should sell that Hummer, Mercedes, or BMW and use the bus. What a revelation! By God, I think I just solved the parking issue, as well.

If that makes Campos Satan, then I am 100% down with the comparison.

Ugh, I just came on here to see if anyone knew the flooding situation on 1st Street (how far east the water has crept).
Thanks for the excellent advice (and ridiculous stereotypes), Danez, but the bus doesn’t go to where I work. Since you’re all-powerful maybe you could work on re-routing NJ Transit for me so I don’t have to drive my decidedly unluxurious vehicle. Thanks.

oh man raining really hard now. 7:00. The delivery guy is going to hate me at Pita Grill. I hope he can swim back to Jackson Street.

One more thing, tally the votes now b/c now that it is pouring no one is going to vote. I hope Dawn got in enough votes.

I heard Dawn might be squeaking this one out. BRAVO! She deserves it! This was overheard at the Cunningham victory party…she had like a 6-11 vote spread over Campos. Tight, and who knows what was happening with provisional votes…although when it was the Presidential election I went to bed psyched that Kerry had it in the bag, until I woke up and saw the colors on the USA map. Campos can be expected to pull all sorts of crap! He should rot with Perry B.

Does your advice to “sell that … Mercedes” apply to your man, Chris Campos? A little birdy told me that he will need to earn an honest living from now on, and selling the Benz might give him some money to pay for some booze (ahem, “living expenses.”)

Word (on everything you just said).
It’s especially fitting that, if Dawn wins, it would happen on a rainy floody day. To Chris Campos, it must seem like God’s got a sick sense of humor (to steal a lyric from Depeche Mode).
