Hurricane Irene flood photos

Hoboken floods from Hurricane Irene

Below are some flood photos from the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

Sadly, it’s hard to tell the difference between “crazy hyped end of the world run for your lives hurricane” and “standard rain storm” in Hoboken – all looks pretty much the same!

Thanks to Hoboken411 readers Andy, Phil, Todd, Bobby, Joceyln, JP, Jason, Laura and anyone I forgot or haven’t gotten to yet! I think I’m all “Hurricaned Out” already…

Additional Hoboken flood photos from Hurricane Irene

Here are some more!

Hey, are those people rowing to the Cake Boss line? Tell them to row uptown with some cakes. I need something with fondant on it…anything!

And I hope those babes aren’t drinking flood water, I had no idea it got that BAD there? But when you’re thirsty, anything goes. They do realize what they are standing in though, right?

I’m in NYC with relatives, but not sure whether it’s a good time to return to Hoboken. Are there many streets still inaccessible? Does anyone know if there are still many power lines down?

With all of the flooding and road closures and mass-transit stoppages, wouldn’t it would be better if the city’s DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION, IAN SACS, hadn’t abandoned ship and left town? Who will coordinate the transportation and HOP BUS program while he is gone? We have checked, and it is clear that Director Sacs does not live on the ground floor, why did he leave? Where did he go? When will he be back?

cbrsl good question..maybe sac of spoon fed may have been in town riding his huffy with pontoons..But just scan the mayors anal sniffers asking where timmy was at the fourth ward? None of these cretens ask where the huffy man was.Opps did i say man?
grand st off second st. Move your cars leave get out of Hoboken..General Zelda had to know certain parts of pkg way and pike were closed as well as the bergen county area roads.. Agree with all ground floor apts being evacuated, but consider there crissis’s and I thank the voters for electing a rural person that has no clue and listens to simular ding dongs in regard.. Bergen and south jersey mayors had no problem..Wonder if the red huffy was locked to a pole..chit A mans man..untill the crap hits the fan.. Ian Sacs is out of town? Who’s going to *drive* the Hop Bus?[quote comment=”210182″]With all of the flooding and road closures and mass-transit stoppages, wouldn’t it would be better if the city’s DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION, IAN SACS, hadn’t abandoned ship and left town? Hey Perry – these H411 pictures were just featured on Fox 5 news. They did give you a photo credit, so that was good. Of course they made it look like this was all over Hoboken instead of the usual flooding that occurs during any strong storm.
