I’ll dig myself in a little deeper. Years ago I worked in NYC with person who was from Panama and black who told me that often he would sit on the subway and people sitting near him would be conversing in Spanish. He told me on several occasions he had to say to the people (in Spanish) that he was not an American, he was from Panama, could speak fluent Spanish, and that he knew everything they were saying about him as if he wasn’t there. Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.

1995 called. They want their Seinfeld episode plot element back.

You’re certainly noone to talk about being offensive!! I wonder if hoboken411 knows that you’re the reason people don’t post as much as they used to? I might have to ask him about that.

Call it being perceptive, but I am pretty sure I know when people are talking about me. The only thing that could make it more obvious is if they actually pointed at me and started laughing.

The ladies over at Gotham Nails speak Spanish and the girl who does my nails hardly speaks english at all. But at least she tries (and she does a GREAT job), and she doesn’t talk to her neighbor and giggle, or get on her cell phone and ignore what she’s being paid to do. They should send those Koreans over there to see what it’s like to treat a customer with respect.

It is not perceptive it is offensive for you to think people are making fun of you but then again seeing you are very aggressive and combative in your response, I am sure you give off a vibe, so yeah maybe they are making fun of you. Oh and yeah people don’t post on here because of me, now I get the kooky part in your name.

I am guessing that none of you are women. And yes, it was a Seinfeld episode FOR A REASON.

You can call me kooky, but at least I am not a STALKER!

I went to this place once for a mani/pedi (before there were 1000 other places to go) they actually charged for QUICK DRY! I was disgusted.

I know I am probably making a huge mistake outing the best nail place in hoboken, but 4th and madison, the ladies are wonderful, they do a great job, they’re friendly and they don’t talk sh*t about you while they are doing your nails. Gotham Nails, they have a place at 12th and Grand also.

How do you know the Korean people are talking about you? Do you know Korean? 4th and Madison can not talk about you because they are Hoboken raised people who speak plain english. Unless you are Korean or understand it, I think the comment was a little off and offensive.

Not a good experience, this place has gone downhill. Went in for a pedicure yesterday. The girl who did the pedi was rushing, not paying attention and at one point was on her cell phone. I looked around and noticed a couple other girls working there were on their cell phones while giving a mani or pedi. Not professional, will not go back….don’t waste your money.
