An ongoing list of various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Friday, June 24, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

Crimes, Incidents, Fire Calls & Vehicular mishaps

  • 12:35am (6/25): Girl Passes Out
HPD was called because of a “girl passes out at 807 Garden St.This is 100% likely due to the vast amount of HOT AIR coming out of this building!
  • 12:20am (6/25): Man down in lane of traffic
Reports of a “man down” (which usually means passed out drunk) in the middle of the street at 1st and Washington. This guy will probably feel he’s special tomorrow for this dopey incident. Have him call 411 – I’ll tell him he’s “one of thousands” each year.
  • 8:45pm: Odd Aquatic Occurrence
North Hudson Regional Fire Dept. called HPD about some freaky situation going on in the river near 15th & Garden. Apparently some guy was “stuck” to that rickety boat that is anchored out there. HPD called the U.S. Coast Guard because we do not have a procedure for “impounding a boat.” Some people do freaky things!

More updates to come!

I’m assuming you’re talking about the “Ephraim” that’s moored out there, but something very odd is going on with that boat. I’ve now seen two different, very sketchy (i.e. unshaven, unkempt messes) men hop on and off the boat on to that small piece of land/pier, walk through the locked area, jump the fence (or sneak around the fence by walking along the ledge) and then disappear into the Hudson Tea building. Very weird.
