As a child in Hoboken I saw a family of about 14 killed in a fire one of which was my friend in the 6th grade our teacher along with the School planted a tree in Elysian Park in remembrance of this family. Our class gathered around that tree and sang a song it was truly one of the saddest days in my life. That tree stands in the center of the walkway surrounded by a small fence. It reminds me every time I see it of what Hoboken was like back then. At almost every fire back then there were body bags probably containing a friend as I lost several. So up close and personal I have lived through and learned to take a chill pill for if not it would eat away at me inside. Perhaps that is why I post more Jokes then serious comments because everyone is so uptight with their opinions and comments! I lost friends to the river I lost many friends to drugs and yet I continue to survive for I try not to dwell on tragedy but remembering the good times we shared. So yes chill out people it will make life a happier experience. Again I will say (Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely and in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting “Holy sh*t…what a ride) I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

My comments were not about “moral superiority” but were about human compassion and empathy. I don’t believe it is ever justifiable to kick people when they are down and wounded. I also don’t support anyone making baseless, factless, tactless innuendo regardless of the forum. I stand by my belief that JF owes the people who lost their home through no fault of their own an apology.

The sign that was in the window before the explosion/fire, was Hoboken Hardwood Floors. According to a couple fire fighters at the scene, they had never heard of HHF having an incident like this before. Previous to this they had a solid reputation, which is probably why the owners hired them . . .

MDO Builder’s partner did the work. He tried to capitilize on the name “Hoboken Floors” which was a well known company. From what I’ve heard “Hoboken Hardwood Floors” is out of business – and with good reason!!!
