Dead body by Light Rail?
19
April
Heard on police scanner, a person by the light rail (near Paterson Rd) believes they found a “10-36″, which is a dead body.
Police investigating now.
However, I’m a little confused because I heard what sounded like another call about a man “finding something in the weeds” near the northern most boundary near the Willow Ave Bridge.
Will try to sort it out based on what they’re saying over the radio.

Asking for a 10:36 in CB-talk (as in “Breaker 1-9 for a 10:36″) means asking for the time. Over and out good buddy. -Texas Reindeer

a 10-36 in Hudson county is a DOA
The website he got it off of is here:

CB codes and local FD/PD 10 codes are completely different things.

Jeni…thanks. But not everything is literal. I wouldn’t think a dead body on the side of the road would ilicit a request for the time. (but don’t worry you’re still the top blogger). And it’s Colonblow (like the cereal).

Colonblow, I’ve wondered about your screen name, thanks for the explanation and I apologize for not writing it fully. Is it a pop culture reference that I just don’t get because I’ve got my head up my ass the majority of the time? I get weird about the spelling of my name also, so I get where you’re coming from.
I figured you were a reasonably intelligent person, you obviously can turn on a computer and get to websites.
I just wanted to give you, and anyone else who didn’t know where to find them, the 10 codes for future reference. I’m a busybody like that.

FYI, I forgot to report that this eventually was found in Jersey City and handled by their police force. No further details about what or who. If I had their frequency programmed in the scanner, it’d dominate the airwaves.
