City Contracts Canceled

4/19/2007:

Statement from Mayor David Roberts, City of Hoboken

For immediate release

ripped-contract.jpgLast night the City Council took the unprecedented step of canceling all professional services contracts – an action of great consequence that was taken without counsel from anyone but themselves. I am calling on the Council to immediately rescind this reckless act before Hoboken taxpayers feel its disastrous impact.

Not only was this action totally inappropriate, it was done without planning or any consideration for the effect on City services. For example, the City is currently engaged in numerous court cases. This morning, a judge had to enter an order permitting an attorney contracted by the City to continue a major trial. This instance and other professional deadlines have endangered the City’s legal rights and left Hoboken taxpayers with tremendous potential exposure.

Whatever their intention, I hope the City Council members come to their senses for the good of the people of Hoboken and reinstate professional services agreements before any further damage is done.

RedHaven’s been an apologist for Terry C and Mikey R for some tme now.

Now dissapointed since The Russo from within Terry has revealed itself like the snakes in Medusa’s hair 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈

I understood what you were saying. You were very clear. It was tonys’ interpretation. Tonys you seem bitter. Your posts are very attacking. What’s up with that? And calling people out on who they are (ie “Beth Mason and Dawn Zimmer”) – lighten up. You seem to have legitimate things to say..but your attitude’s getting in the way of your effectiveness. Chill baby chill.[/quote]

Bitter? Mighty strong words.

By and Large I agree with most of Red’s posts

I am not Bitter. Bitter is a term Campos and Russo used to say when I opposed them. I happen to be working and volunteering for Dawn Zimmer. There’s NOT a single negative post I have made about Dawn’s campaign. So why the spin?
