La Bella Vista Pizza & Seafood – Doomed

La Bella Vista Pizza – Doomed in Hoboken

Just six months after opening, La Bella Vista Pizza at 916 Washington St. is out of business.

Apparently, they weren’t up to speed with their rent, and they were evicted this past weekend. Whoops! Word is that the owner of the building (Mark Bogdanos – who has had previous restaurant ownership experience in Hoboken – Arthur’s & The Truck Stop) may try his luck next.

Looking at the balance sheet was proof enough to realize that selling one “Clam Pizza” a week just wasn’t gonna pay the bills!

Hoboken’s latest Pizza Shop: La Bella Vista

5/20/2011:

As Hoboken411 told you previously, Joey’s BBQ was sold – and is becoming a new pizza place: La Bella Vista.

Owners Sam & Amy (who have two similar restaurants in Virginia), say that in addition to the usual menu items that pizza establishments carry – they are proud of their unique pizza options: Seafood. Toppings such as lobster, calamari, shrimp and clams will be available for the seafood lovers in Hoboken.

They hope to be open as soon as next week – and are considering similar late-night hours as places like 7-Star Pizza.

Description: Full service pizza restaurant with seafood, delivery and take-out.
Address: 916 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030

I don’t care what their hours will be, but if they taste anything like 7 star, consider them doomed. And who eats clam pizza? I just spit up in my mouth.

That place was doomed. It had no distinguishing characteristics. Too bad smoky joe’s left that space.
I don’t care what their hours will be, but if they taste anything like 7 star, consider them doomed. And who eats clam pizza? I just spit up in my mouth.
