Clean your cars, people!

NJ law: Common sense (and courtesy) for snowy cars

Here’s a reminder for the lazy town-folk who think all you need to do is clear your windows on your car before jetting off on your ride.

It’s NJ law to “remove it before you go,” and can result in fines up to $75 if caught – and up to $1000 if it causes damage or injury to others.

I saw several of these morons on the way to Brick City today (interestingly, I noticed a high percentage of NY drivers). I sent 411 a pic of one car since it looked so stupid. I also a Jeep that was a double-whammy: Ubntouched snow on the roof, and “tank driving” windows (aka, only small viewing ports cleared off, front and side). We need a safe snow removal checkpoint in or out of town…gold mine!

How many of these idiots actually get a fine? Maybe if the authorities were a little quicker to ticket you wouldn’t see it so much. I love the ones that brush a palm print in the driver’s side window and think they could go. If it’s a law they need to enforce it.

It has been on the news, google and now here. This should be another good opportunity to cash in. Before this law took place, I was entering the turnpike when a large sheet flew off a SUV and onto my windshield , fortunate enough it was very soft snow , my son said my shin changed 3 shades whiter, it is a scary experience when you cannot mover out if its way.
I think it is an awesome law and I would like to see some examples make out of this.
It very sad to how inconsiderate we are to each other.

Good post. Most people don’t know this (or at least let’s hope its that!)

These are some of the douchiest drivers in existence. I am not the tallest guy, but I managed to clean off the roof of my SUV. The passenger cars like in the photo show there is no excuse other than being a schlub.
