60 Second Review: Village Pourhouse

Juicy Fresh burgers at Village Pourhouse

Looking for a place that has one of the best, most juicy hamburgers in Hoboken? Then stop by the new Village Pourhouse at 205 First Street.

Served “picnic style” in a paper-lined basket, VPH offers a variety of different burger concoctions along with either fresh-cut french fries, and much to my surprise – some of the crunchiest tater-tots I’ve ever had. The meat is grilled on a flat top cooking surface, and oozes with juice. The bun is also perfect, a light sesame brioche that has yet to lose any toppings (which are also skillfully cut as not to overwhelm the burger.)

The regular burgers start at $8.95 – but can be had for a steal during their daily promotional period between 11am and 5pm – where you can get “a burger and a beer” for only $6.95. A++++

Note: We also tried the Calamari – which was one of the most interesting ways of preparing it. They included the marinara sauce in the dish – along with an array of hot peppers!

Mm, tater tots.

At the risk of being hated by vegetarians, those photos are magnificent.

Hoboken411, official advertiser of the Village Pourhouse. Has there been a week without an entry saying just how great this place is? Not that anyone is suggesting impropriety…
