Clear Path 4G High Speed Wireless events in Hoboken

Wireless internet in Hoboken isn’t always easy. From over-clogged 3G networks, to spotty service – there really hasn’t been an “ideal” way to go about it – at least not with blazing speeds.

Well – the game is about to change, as Clear 4G is storming into town. With great coverage, and fast downloads (up to 10mb), and pay as you go service – they want everyone to know about them! They just started a two-week “neighborhood takeover” to promote the fast data service – with events every day & night until December 2nd!

“We are taking over the neighborhood and highlighting some of the best that Hoboken has to offer by hosting a variety of events for the next two weeks, all compliments of Clear 4G! Sign up for a Clear Path Card that will give you access to complimentary meals, tastings, movies, VIP events and more. What is Clear Path?

CLEAR is the first network to provide a true seamless internet experience, wherever you go.

CLEAR is fast-as-you-want internet at home +
CLEAR is take-it-with-you internet when you’re on the go =
CLEAR is a 4G hot spot spanning your coverage area!

What is 4G?

CLEAR is building the fastest network around—and we keep expanding from city to city. With average speeds of 3 to 6 Mbps and bursts of over 10 Mbps, CLEAR’s 4G WiMAX network gives you the speed you need to stream movies, play online games, video chat on the go and take full advantage of the power of the Internet from wherever you are.

What makes 4G different?

All you have to do is experience the speed of 4G for yourself and you’ll know. Today’s 3G networks were built for making phone calls. But CLEAR’s 4G WiMAX network was built just for the internet, wherever you are. That means you have the bandwidth you need to download movies, upload videos, stream games and more—all at ridiculously fast speeds.

What can I do with 4G?

What can’t you do? 4G gives you the bandwidth to do all those things that the slow drip of 3G made so painful. Watch live soccer from Europe from the sideline of your son’s soccer game in Seattle. Email that ginormous presentation from the road in seconds without having to find a coffee shop to make a connection. Download the video from that conference you couldn’t attend in the middle of a trainload of commuters. 4G speed let’s you embrace the power of the internet.

What does all this speed cost?

CLEAR is more than our name, it’s our approach to pricing as well. We offer combined mobile and home plans, home-only plans, voice plans and mobile plans starting at $25 a month. There are no tricks and no surprises. You get a wireless connection with 4x the speed of 3G for about the same price as a basic, wired, ball-and-chain connection from your phone or cable company. Let our simple tool show you which CLEAR service plan is right for you just by answering a few questions.

Where can I use CLEAR?

With CLEAR, you have the connection you need and the freedom to move. Use it at home. Fire it up on the road. No more battling for bandwidth on insecure Wi-Fi hotspots. No more searching for coffee shops, just to find an Internet connection. No more paying for Web access at hotels. CLEAR goes wherever you need it in your city. And our 4G network is arriving in more cities all the time. See our 4G Coverage Area Map

Really hope this service gets to be successful. Optonline now has my internet bill at $50 after it’s promotion offer of $29.95 only 1 1/2 years ago (and this includes my 1 year contract obligation) So I was raised $20 in less than 6 months. My use on-line is what you’d describe as minimal for postings, banking and occasional buying. Excessive internet speed for my usage is not a factor, and Optonline doesn’t consider this a factor for lower pricing (to my knowledge). At one time Verizon did offer various price options for internet, then killed you with their phone billing. Don’t know if this applies anymore and really don’t care. Have no intentions of returning to Verizon.

Is anyone currently using Clear 4G? How’s the service in town?

Is this any better than Optimum’s free WiFi?

The $25/month plan doesn’t look bad at all. Even with a $115 modem. But I’d likely feel a bit uncomfortable being restricted to just 4G, so I’d step up to the $55/month a plan for unlimited download and 3G backup in areas that don’t have 4G.

Will pick one up tomorrow. All those freebies for the next few weeks are almost worth it alone.
