Hoboken Breakfast Nuggets: 10/28/2010

Some miscellaneous nuggets to digest this morning…

More Stink Bug news…

Remember that Stink Bug story that Hoboken411 published in the beginning of October? NBC News ran a piece on it recently. Here’s their video report:

Cooler weather coming: Find your jackets!

Our warm spurt will be over shortly – and normal crisp fall weather will whisk in from the north west. This time tomorrow morning, the temps will be in the mid to upper 40’s!

Angry Birds: a massive time waster; Happy Halloween!

I don’t need an mp3 player, nor do I play many video games any more. But I somehow got a 4th Gen iPod earlier this year. Let’s just say it’s primary purpose is reading material for the “Library…”

However, I downloaded a couple games that I’ll play a bit if I’m having trouble sleeping. Big mistake. That game Angry Birds is so addictive! In case you didn’t know – they have a Halloween Edition (three levels). Took about two days to solve.

Swingadelic coming to town soon

In case you like the swinging big-band sound of Swingadelic – then mark your calendars for this coming Monday, November 1st.

They’re playing a gig at Maxwell’s (11th & Washington). Show is from 9-11pm, and there’s no cover!

If you’ve never heard of them – here’s my favorite song of theirs called “Castle Rock”

Go San Francisco Giants!

I really don’t care who wins the World Series this year… but if I were forced to pick a team, it’d be the San Francisco Giants.

Why? For one – I want them to win because of the way the classless Philly fans treated Lincecum during the NLCS – and because Texas beat my beloved NY Yankees.

Enjoy your day ahead!

classless Philly fans. isn’t that redundant?

Don’t get me started on how many hours I’ve spent on that Angry Birds game. Amazing that a 99-cent game on a phone can entertain and challenge you.
