New 411 Feature: Windshield Twittering

Communicating via windshields happens fairly often!

After walking the streets on Hoboken411-related jobs for so many years – it became apparent that a separate category needed to be created for the myriad of notes and other messages left under windshield wipers here in the Mile Square.

So today marks the birth of Hoboken Windshield Twittering (you can find this category in the menu above – under “features”). Each day this week will feature a different post about the various kinds of things you’ll find even on your own vehicle!

To kick things off….

Hoboken Windshield Tweet: Your car is damaged

Starting off the new Windshield Tweet feature – we’ll get the most useful one out of the way first: Your car was damaged in an accident.

This windshield tweet is a good idea. Often times, when Hoboken Police handle a hit & run incident and are unable to locate the owner, they’ll leave case number information on the car.

In this particular instance – it appears that a regular citizen was the one that damaged this car – and kindly left a note indicating that he knocked the driver mirror off. Honest folks like this are hard to find!

[Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Hoboken Windshield Twittering entry!Note: Feel free to share your wiper-spottings – just email Hoboken411 with a clear photo or two, where you spotted it and how you’d like to be credited… ]
