New Cake Boss episode at Pier A Park

6/15/2010:

Cake Boss hits the big screen… in Hoboken at least

Taking the place of a full length feature flick for tomorrow night’s Movies Under the Stars presentation at Pier A Park – a new episode of Buddy Valastro’s Cake Boss show.

While there is no imminent threat for steady rain – a scattered thunderstorm might roll by in the evening – so be prepared in case you head out.

paws why not bake your own (or have it baked for you)? My favorite cakes growing up and even now are simple yellow cakes with chocolate frosting. The more lopsided and sloppy, the better.

Nothing against those who bake for a living…but sometimes home made is best.

You know what makes me happy? I heard a rumor in town about Giorgio’s being asked to star in an episode of Cake Boss. Something to do with rivalry, or maybe just some fun.

Giorgio said no.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA.

In order to complete the irony they should play the episode with the commercial breaks intact.

Hi,
I need some help. My birthday is Saturday. I need to decide where I want my birthday cake made. I have always gone to Carlo’s. My birthday cake from Carlo’s last year was good but quite expensive. I’m thinking this year Carlo’s will be a nightmare pricewise, crowdwise and possibly even qualitywise. I tried Giorgio’s a few years ago. I wasn’t pleased. I was wondering if anyone can give me some genuine bakery suggestions. Just please no ice cream cakes,no supermarkets and no warehouses. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

“Cake Boss” is trading on the idea that people in Hoboken (and by extension most of urban NY metro) are “kinda uneducated” and “kinda salt of the earth knuckleheads”. Enjoy, jump on the bandwagon, have your picture taken in front of the place. The damage is already done.
