Philadelphia Philles Club 2010

4/3/2010:

There is a Phillies bar in Hoboken!

During any baseball season, you could probably go to any bar in Hoboken and find other Yankees, Mets, heck – even Red Sox fans to mingle with while the games are on TV. Thus, the whole NYC tri-state area is essentially your fan club!

Not so for the Philadelphia Phillies fans – who three years ago started their own club over at Mulligan’s (159 First Street) to mingle with fellow fans. This post marks the fourth season Hoboken411 has gladly promoted their club! Sean Iaquinto, founder of the club says:

“The Philadelphia Phillies Club of Hoboken is for Phillies fans from Hoboken, NJ who gather each Friday to watch the Phillies play baseball at Mulligan’s Bar (159 1st Street) in Hoboken!

We meet every Friday night at Mulligan’s for the Phillies game. Here are the specials:

  • $2 pints & $8 pitchers of Coors Light or Bud Light drafts
  • $2.50 pints & $10 pitchers of Yuengling
  • $3 bottles of Lionshead Lager
  • $12 Buckets of Bud Light, Coors Light, Yuengling or Lionshead bottles

Keepin’ it classy as always phillies fans, disgusting animals….

PHILADELPHIA — A New Jersey man is facing charges after police say he
intentionally vomited on an 11-year-old girl in the stands during a Phillies
game.

Twenty-one-year-old Matthew Clemmens of Cherry Hill, N.J., was arraigned
early Friday morning on charges stemming from an incident during Wednesday
night’s Phillies-Nationals game.

Police say Clemmens began trying to make himself vomit on an off-duty police
captain and his family after a companion was removed from the stadium for
unruly behavior.

Easton police Capt. Michael Vangelo says he saw Clemmens put his fingers
down his throat and throw up, hitting Vangelo and his 11-year-old daughter.
Philadelphia police say Clemmens also punched Vangelo and vomited on an
arresting officer.

Clemmens was in custody Friday morning on charges including assault and
harassment. Bail was set at $12,000.

I read that story last night. First, when I saw the photo of the perp, I thought it was a fat, middle-aged blonde woman. Second, after looking closely at the photo, I realized (s)he was rocking a nice black-eye. I am glad he got a beat down. I hope that’s not the end of it for him.

Philly fans are awful. It has always been and always will be. Veteran’s stadium had a freaking judge on premises for a time to arraign people arrested. Seriously. Come on.

Mulligans is quality on Saturday and Sunday mornings for proper football. Ash the bartender is good people.

I’m a Yankee & Jets fan also :)…anyway just left Nationals Stadium after watching the Phillies at batting practice. Nice to open the season against such a suck ass team as the Nationals. Anyway, I hope I do not hear the two words Donovan McNabb again until football season. The trade to the Redskins made breaking news in DC Sunday night (bleech)…
