Hey, in case any of your readers are interested.. East La got rid of their happy hour and the place is dark!!

So word on the street is confidently indicating that East LA is being sold. Apparently the business wasn’t doing so well, and it was time to jump ship. Some readers are speculating that the shorter-than-usual bar hours might have had something to do with it.
New owners are reported to be The Farside.
No word at this time whether the venue, name or menu will change. No firm date as to when the business will change hands.
I just realized 411 never reviewed this place! Should I be happy?
Description – Americanized Tex-Mex Restaurant & Bar. Noisy, cramped, used to be a good social scene. Strong Margaritas. Zagat rated long ago. Entrée price range $10-$12. Closes early.

I’ve been going to East LA for about 5 years now and I love it! Margaritas are awesome as well as the food and the staff. There IS a happy hour, not sure why people are saying there is not. Happy hour plus half priced appetizers! Everyday from 5-8. I read something about a drug raid? There really must be another East LA in Hoboken because that never happened there lol. These reviews kill me lol. Dont let these reviews fool you! Be the judge yourself!

How much were you paid to write this since the last post was done on Dec 8th? What are you not posting on the other thread? You have been going here for 5 years and don’t know about the raid? You think anyone believes you? No there is nothing happy when you attract people who deal crack cocaine and bring weapons to our town. Epic fail

I agree with Chori. East LA is an awesome spot! Amazing drinks and a great vibe! The situation about drugs is fishy to me! Did someone pay you to say that? Drugs are everywhere in hoboken your own mayor is corrupt! You probably work for another spot in hoboken and cant stand the fact that at least people go to east la!! Grow up and stop being so judgemental and take out what’s up your ass. At the end if it was such a bad place it wouldnt be packed like it always gets!

What is up my ass is your finger mister, please take it out, you are not hitting my G spot. I would consider your reply more seriously if you had more postings on Hoboken 411 other than this 1, which is your first. Your partner Chiro on the other thread, that was their 4th post. Am I the only person that finds this suspicious? And what drugs you say, ok whatever you say poncho.
