Church Square Park Hot Dog Truck

2/17/2010:

A quick hunger solution in a bind

Now that we’re creeping towards lunch time – some of you still left behind in Hoboken might be getting hungry, but are a little light in the wallet.

What initially drew me to try this truck, was the “hot sausages” sign – since I’m a big spicy food aficionado. I bought a “hot sausage” and received what looked like a jumbo hot dog, and told the guy that he made a mistake, and gave me a plain hot dog. He corrected me and told me it was certainly a hot sausage. Nope. It was just a semi-spicy hot dog. If you want a real sausage sandwich, stick with the Italian Deli’s in town, or wait till one of our many street festivals.

But the food was cheap (I recall $2 or less) and hits the spot after a long day on foot.

Good MOR tube steak. Better with the as-if cheese sauce. Recommend. Live a little.

hate to stray off topic (sort of)….BUT this truck may be parked in absolutely the most dangerous spot possible!!! with the flashing yellow light on willow you have not idea if whatever is coming down the road is going to slow down – probably not…it’s like a one eye closed game of frogger here!!!!
