Suicide Prevention Fundraiser
Some might say it’s “bad timing” to publish a post about suicide right after a comedy video – but this ain’t no joke! (Especially considering the man that took his own life earlier this month at the Hudson Tea Building, and Artie Lange with his giant knife.)
Tomorrow night, Hoboken411 reader Jeannine is hosting a fundraising event in an effort to raise awareness about this unpleasant issue many of us have had to deal with, and I’m sure some of you would be happy to contribute!
Support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
I am having a Fundraiser this Saturday January 30th at McCarthy’s Pub in Hoboken (104 Hudson Street) from 5-9pm. All are welcome!
Information: Please support my cause and help raise money to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. On June 26-27, 2010 in Boston, I am participating in the Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk, an 18 mile overnight walk to help raise awareness and reduce the stigma of suicide.
Details: $10 cover (donation to the Overnight walk), plus $2.00 Draft Beers and half-off all well drinks. All net proceeds will go the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
