Hudson River Family Event

This Saturday from 11am – 1pm, gather the family and head over to Sybil’s Cave for a fun history lesson as part of the 400th Anniversary celebration of Henry Hudson. NOTE: If the expected rain is steady and strong – the event will be re-located to the Historical Museum at 13th and Hudson.

Happy Hudson River Anniversary!

“Join the Hoboken Historical Museum to celebrate 400 years of life along the Hudson River on Saturday, Oct. 3, 11am – 1pm, at Sybil’s Cave on Sinatra Drive. The Family Hudson River Celebration is free, thanks in part to support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and all ages are welcome.

At the event, local artist Frank Hanavan will demonstrate his nautical knot prowess, and Thaddeus MacGregor, the musical bard of the Hudson, will sing river songs. Museum Education coordinator Sherrard Bostwick will even lead participants on a rare peek into the Cave. (In case of rain, the event will relocate to the Museum at 1301 Hudson St.)”
