Thieves steal bench on 11th Street

9/9/2009:

Downright wrong!

So apparently – some thieving nincompoops stole a marble bench that was dedicated to Rose and Sam Sasso (who used to own the awesome Sasso’s Deli on 11th and Garden) this past weekend. The bench had been located on the island on 11th street for over a year!

Is our economy that bad that someone has to mess with something like this?

I like to think there is a special place in Hell for people who have nothing better to do than disrepect others (maybe not as hot as where the serial killers, animal abusers and telemarketers are).

I don’t think I have heard the word “nincompoops” since I was 7 watching Scooby Doo.

There has been an uptick in crime. Since we have new “tranparent” leadership I would like to know where the transparency is on the Police Blotter?

I recently heard about a resident’s car that was recently stolen. Does a 50k theft not rate it for news in this town?

Why aren’t crimes reported to the Hoboken Police Dept publicly available online?

This is incredibly upsetting. It seems more like vandalism that theft for profit… Is the police doing ANYTHING about it?

In total agreement. Have also heard about theft in Applied Housing units uptown where a maintenance man was involved using master keys to enter.
