Reader Mail: Aviation Advisory Board?
Hoboken411 reader Jack was wondering – after this extremely rare, freak accident in the sky – why Hoboken doesn’t have an Aviation Advisory Board.
Keep in mind – that this function (if it existed) would likely fall under the realm of the Public Safety Director – whom acting Mayor Dawn Zimmer is looking to eliminate.
Oh my! Lots of planes and copters!
“Why is there no Aviation Advisory Board in Hoboken government? There certainly should be one created given the great number of helicopter overflights not to mention the commercial overflights from Newark Liberty, Teterboro and La Guardia airports. This recent crash demonstrated the need for monitoring all these overflights both from a safety and a noise perspective.”
411 note: This is in line with yesterdays article about how this was a highly unusual accident – and why nothing needs to change whatsoever…
