A Bobby’s Burger Palace in Hoboken?

A week or two ago – I ended up at the Bergen Town Center in Paramus, NJ (the old “Bergen Mall” site).
Would this business work in Hoboken?
They’ve done quite a bit of renovation, and it’s turning into quite a popular spot for suburban residents. The mall has a Century 21 (which is why I went there) – as well as a Target (brand new – with some futuristic shopping carts!)
One place that interested me – despite some pretty bad-to-mediocre reviews – Bobby’s Burger Palace (a la Bobby Flay’s) – is insanely popular – with lines out the door each day of the week. (SEE MENU)
I’m always for local small-businesses in Hoboken – however, I was thinking – with the exorbitant rents over at Maxwell Place, this business might be a pretty good fit. Haven’t tried the food there yet (burgers are one of my staples – but waiting on line isn’t). Plus, with the WindMill burger & hot dog joint coming to town – have we met our hamburger quota?
Has anyone tried BBP yet? Any good? Would it succeed in Hoboken?

FUNNY that this post came up…I was at that mall last saturday, since it was raining for like the 92nd day in a row, i went there and it has gone through a huge transformation….it really was nice, clean, good stores with more to come and word of expanding even more. Bobby burger as mentioned in my post for in & out burger is very good. It would beat out five guys, that is for sure, also other burger places. But that mall was very well done and will give a nice alternative to garden state plaza…

I’ve eaten at Bobby’s out on Long Island, and it is really good. Great burgers, and the one out there had homemade chips with blue cheese which I didn’t see on this menu, but they were great too.

All I have to say is SONIC!!!! There’s traffic backing up on Rte 17 to get into this place! Bring one of these to Hoboken (sans the drive in part)! They’re also opening one up on Rte 46.

I had lunch at one of bobby’s place –excellent. The toppings are very different,I don’t know about crushed potato chips,but a must try are the french fried sweet potatos.The only complaint is the noise everything is hard surfaced.

BBP rocks, it’s like a mini vacation to go out there to get one. Definitely MUCH better than 5 guys, would be great if they put one in Hob… the LA Burger, yummmmmmmy!
