10 Week Training Program for Beginners

Fleet Feet Sports (604 Washington) is offering “No Boundaries”, a 10-week training program for beginners hoping to run or walk their first 5K race. The purpose of the program is to introduce participants to the lifetime fitness activities of running and walking and to encourage them to live healthier lifestyles.

No Boundaries will offer participants guidance and advice from experienced coaches, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury, all within a fun and supportive environment. The program will culminate with the Party with Purpose 5K on July 14th, a goal which participants will work towards throughout the program. New Balance is sponsoring the program along with Fleet Feet, and will provide each participant with a moisture-wicking shirt, water bottle, and hat. A $75 registration fee will cover all aspects of the program, including the race entry fee.

No Boundaries will begin on May 13th and the group will meet every Wednesday for 10 weeks. An informational session will be held at Fleet Feet Sports on Wednesday, May 6th.
