Found bird and lost emails

4/25/2009:
Hoboken411 uses Gmail (the best email on the planet – and I had to buy the 100GB upgrade since I get so much) – which is fantastic at eliminating SPAM. In addition, I use Microsoft Outlook as my desktop client – to make managing the various types of email that comes through on a daily basis a bit easier.
However, as infrequent as it may be – even my Outlook catches email that Gmail doesn’t. Usually it’s Ann Coulter emails – so I don’t check too often. But I found the following today:
Found Bird
Gary sent this info about a found Cockatiel. I initially got it via my blackberry, but got swept under the rug at the home office because of Outlook. If you believe this is yours – just send Hoboken411 an email, and I’ll put you in touch.
“Pet bird found 4/22 around 6 pm near Bloomfield and Newark in Hoboken. Bird appears to have clipped wings and very domesticated.”

Patricia Waiters – Council Candidate

Despite the fact that I’ve created placeholders for every candidate to post any information about their campaigns – Independent Council candidate Patricia Waiters sent a couple emails that were snagged by my SPAM filter. Initially, she thought I was being biased based on skin color (which is ridiculous) – so I sent an email explaining that her email wasn’t read till today – and I posted her BIO and Campaign Platform in her comments section. I encouraged her to use her entry on 411 for future updates.

I honestly think it lives in the old Hudson Observer building on Newark and Bloomfield. When I lived near there, I used to walk by in the warmer months and heard it chirping several times through an open window. My parents have a cockatiel so I know what they sound like. Maybe you can post a sign in that building.

411 If the owner don’t claim the bird and the person that found cant take care of it, i would be glad to give it a new home.

I got an email from someone who thinks it might be theirs… We’ll see how that pans out.
