Friday Election Poll

4/24/2009:

So… with all this election nonsense going on lately – I thought I’d publish a general poll about what you think voter turnout will be in the 2009 Hoboken Municipal Election!

What will be the turnout?

Meet the independents

I’ve also heard some buzz that the “independent” Mayoral candidates are getting more support as of late. In fact –

“Some of the independent mayoral and councilperson candidates invite you to an informal meet and greet on Thursday April 30th. The gathering starts at 6:30 PM at Texas Arizona at 76 River St. This event is pay as you go and all are welcome. Drop by for a drink and get to know your candidates in a more informal setting.”

Mayoral candidates Ryn Melberg, Frank Orsini, and Tom Vincent along with Council Candidates Chris Carbine and Timothy Occhipinti will be in attendance.
Hope that you had a nice day and beware of those who promise the most. Words and actions are two different things. Remember, those with the most money have the means to get their message out more frequently. Quality and not quantity is what counts……..take care
And those who promise you nothing deliver nothing. I think any candidate that wishes to actually be judged on their merits & the issues should be more than happy to actually answer a few questions related to those issues. Not sure why anyone would think that would be unacceptable. In fact, I am not sure why any candidate wouldn’t be willing to participate unless they had something to hide from the voters (like their agenda).

And I had a very nice day, need to remember the sunblock though.
One question for matt_72: Who speaks for Revolt now? Delea, Mesch, Donna A.!, Holtzman…Do they really represent the oppressed taxpayer now?…in my opinion, they have forgot their core mission and have gone on to their own agenda(s).
I could care less where the people in that group stand – just want all the candidates to answer the questions so we can all see where they stand. It is nice to see where EVERYONE stands on the issues. Makes decision making a little easier. You know, an apples to apples comparison.

And I have nothing to do w/ that group, and sorry I couldn’t respond earlier. Wasn’t going to stay indoors today.
