Fire 13th & Madison

3/17/2009:

Sorry for the delay – but there was a fire near 13th & Madison about five hours ago. Hoboken411 reader Rich sent in some cameraphone pictures – he was told it was a cardboard box factory.

Gotta wonder what more will trickle out of the skeleton closet. You might be right that Mayor Roberts will be here to stay…that is a stay in the Big House – hearing the Feds are coming back for another City Hall investigation and they are getting ex-Mayor Russo’s cell all tidy for Roberts.

Maybe Roberts was told of this, or knows he is in deep doo doo so he transferred the brownstone to his wife.

Like I stated before – for what Roberts did to destroy this city, I hope he has a truly unhealthy retirement!

Over/under on when the Mayor sells his real estate holdings and ‘retires’ out of town?[/quote]
He won’t. In fact last summer, right before tax increases, the mayor transfered ownership of his brownstone on 6th and Hudson to his wife… I think Roberts is here to stay.

So ironic:, firefighter physical test (paid by the taxpayer), a ‘burning down the house/warehouse’ incident (paid by the taxpayer), a new developement (subsidized by the taxpayer)…..and am sure a ‘pay them off’ investigation.

Kudos Mayor Roberts – another brilliant plan subsidized by the taxpayer. Hope you have a very unhealthy retirement you scumbag!

Ha! My thoughts exactly.
