Friendly housebroken cat needs a home

Hoboken411 reader Nancy found a cat last week… is it yours?

“Very friendly, youngish, housebroken cat needs a home. I found her under my steps during the snow storm (7th and Willow).”

I forgot to post it last week – and asked her if she still had it, and she said:

“I couldn’t keep her but still want her to have a good home! It’s now at the Newark Humane society where it is still available for adoption. I’d be happy to pick up the cat for an interested party. I’d in any case like to post the ad in case the owner is looking for her.”

You can email her at n.carnevale@verizon.net

A woman on Park between 10th. & 11th. lost her cat on Saturday (or Friday evening).
There is a posting on the corner of 11th. & Park with telephone numbers. The description of her cat is beige & white, I believe. The cat up at the Shipyard may fit the description.

When I walk by that corner, I will get her telephones numbers.

There are missing cat signs posted on all the corners of 11th and Garden (I think). But I’m not sure if there are pictures on it so can’t say if it is the same cat.

I have seen a small cat that looks somewhat similar to the one pictured above (though it might be tan instead of gray) running around the Shipyard/Tea building area the last couple of nights. It looks very clean and seems scared, so I think it may be lost or abandoned instead of stray. It keeps running away when I try to approach it, so I can’t tell if it has a collar. If anyone knows of someone missing a cat, please let them know this one is running around uptown!

Re 2. & 3.: Krikey! I hope she never re-emerges! Bad enough to have had her migrate here, after she was in front of Dalton Books in The Village forever….
