Voter Registration Info

4/4/2009 Reminder:

If you’d like to be a poll worker for this year’s election – keep in mind that the deadline to submit your application is coming up soon.

2/13/2009:

Hoboken resident Gary Holtzman compiled this great list of voter documentation (don’t forms suck?):

Do everything you can to get out and vote!

“Dear Hoboken411 Readers,

With all of the completely justifiable outrage and very heated discussions on all too numerous topics of late in our wonderful little town it seems that many of us concerned citizens have once again begun to turn on each other and that has usually been the downfall of any serious change in the past.

The old school “political machine” has a saying about us newcomers, reformers, yuppies, concerned people, whatever you want to call us – “don’t worry about them, give them some time, they always eat their young.”

 • Yes the pressure on City Hall and the responsible parties should continue.
 • Yes the citizen input to our representatives should continue.
 • Yes people should continue to band together to spread information.

But if we do all those things and we do not bring this energy to the polls we still loose; we all need to vote so the citizenry is heard loud and clear. In support of this effort I have attached the following four forms:

 1. NJ Voter Bill of Rights
 2. Voter Registration Form [Hudson County]
 3. Absentee Ballot
 4. Poll Worker Application [Hudson County]

Please forward to all, hand out to your neighbors, post in your buildings.”

Biffy, isn’t it a conflict of interest to be both the treasurer and a mayoral hopeful?

Just when I thought things couldn’t get more surreal!
the “old school political machine” is an expression I have never heard, and cannibalism, Too?

You are disgusting, splitting the vote up with comments like that. Pitting one group against another instead of working together hasn’t done anything but divide our city.

Been here 48 years and I never heard that disgusting expression.
As the TREASURER (elected) of the DEMS you should know better.
Register and VOTE…The overspent budget, total mismanagement of vehicle fleet, parking meter quarters, sale of Obs. Hwy. garage, lack of discipline in police dept., non-employees medical benefits, purchasing practices -all this resulting in the TOTAL INSULT TO HOBOKEN – State supervision and a fiscal control monitor running our city and not our elected representatives who make many governing body errors. Some credits 😈 Get the facts and the additional ones that will come out before May 12th and vote….Vote! 💡
