Readerpix: More odd advertising

2/2/2009:

Back in December, a post was published about the worst Holiday gift ever (a funeral parlor calendar) – and Hoboken411 reader Brooklyn Bridget thought of that at a recent funeral.

“Last weekend I went to a memorial service for my friend’s husband in Fort Lee, and took a picture of what I found on the ladies’ room counter next to the sinks. I took one for my purse, because I do need them from time to time, but it’s kind of funny… while I’m using it, will I suddenly remember someone I want to bury? For what it’s worth, the funeral parlor itself was modern and beautiful, with plenty of parking, and the service was handled well.”

What’s next for funeral parlors? Twitter updates? “Join my Facebook fan club?”

[Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Readerpix entry! – Note: one reader’s photo(s) will be featured each day at approximately 11am. Unless your photo is time-sensitive – it will be published in the order it was received! Additional note: Your pictures will have a better chance of being published if they’re in “landscape” mode, as opposed to the taller “portrait” modes… ]

Here’s the important question. Did BrooklynBridget actually take like 20 nail files or did H411 get creative with his photo editing?

I actually was just at Frank Patti’s in December. I didn’t notice any promotional items in the men’s room. But they were very professional.

They should print their info on toilet paper. Now THAT would be something to remember.

I went to a wake in a funeral parlor in the easton,pa area and they had those fold out fans and various other items with the parlors name on it. Also in the back room they had lemonade and cookies set up for the visitors. And before people came they took a picture of the stiff, This was only few years ago, my wife has very strange relatives.
