Male “Zapped” at Texas Arizona…

6/5/2008 12:40am Update:

Not as bad as I originally reported, and should just delete this fruity post. A kitchen worker just got a little jolt from an appliance, and was taken to HUMC for treatment. All emergency vehicles have packed up and are leaving the scene now. I gotta call tonights dispatcher to teach her the difference between the two words…

6/5/2008 12:35am Update:

OK, it seems as if the dispatcher might have gotten this wrong. Cops just said a man was “zapped by a dishwashing machine…” and leads me to believe that she meant “electrocuted” not “executed.” Listening in to hear what went wrong, and what the deal is…

6/5/2008 12:25am Breaking News:

One minute in the past, reports over the live Hoboken police scanner of a “MAN EXECUTED AT TEXAS ARIZONA.”

That is serious bad news. Listen in and report what you hear.

There’s a lot of patrons in that bar that could use a good zapping.
Calling 911 gets you to someone in Jersey City. By the time it gets to the police dispatcher in Hoboken, and then over the radio to emergency service personnel, it’s like that game of Telephone from childhood.
You’re completely right. I called 911 at 2:30am one Saturday night when my roommate woke up complaining she had trouble breathing. I called 911, was bounced 3 or 4 times before reaching someone in Hoboken. From watching Rescue 911 with Bill Shatner as a kid, I thought the connection would have happened almost instantly…

If I wanted the police or ambulance, I would call the police dispatcher directly rather than calling 911.

My “favorite” was one time when the ambulance was dispatched to a call of a 6 year old with difficulty breathing, and we got there and it was a 60 year old, which is an entirely different type of call.

haha I heard that too. she definitely said executed which was odd because they’d never say that about a DOA or murder or fight. 😯

You’re quick, I was just about to post that in the breaking news corner. Do you think it was a bar fight gone wrong, or execution-style murder? Or is the man just knocked out cold and will be alright?
