Maroon Coffee embraces Telephone Pole advertising in Hoboken

Hoboken411 reader John sent in this picture of Maroon Coffee uptown clearly advertising their business on a telephone pole down on the corner.

We can understand why they’d want the exposure – as this stretch of road is quite possible the least traveled in Hoboken!

But we’re fairly certain that telephone pole advertising is not something that is legal on the books. Not that we have a problem with it. It’s just that it would turn the streets into a visual migraine if everyone started doing it.

What’s better? Less cluttering eye-sores? Or less meddling from the gov’t? That’s a tough one, isn’t it!
