Eyes in the Sky at Pier A Park

Eyes in the Sky at Pier A Park in Hoboken, NJ

What a wonderful addition to beautiful Hudson River and NYC Skyline photos! Gorgeous surveillance cameras (i.e., “Eyes in the Sky”) down at Pier A Park!

All that money spent to purchase, maintain and monitor ordinary people just minding their own business. I guess they’ll be on it if someone decides to end their year with a “splash.”

But really, do these cameras really benefit society? Is the world so dangerous that we “need” some kind of care-taker to watch over us at all times? Or is this just over-reaching control?

About Hoboken411 Photo of the Day
The Hoboken Photo of the Day is a regularly updated section on Hoboken411.com.

Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.

We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.

Big Bro will be watching you and following if you ride a public bike. Use your plastic and we’ll pretty well know your day.

Pretty sure 411 previously complained about nonfunctional cameras along the river. Now complaining about new cameras going in.

Those cameras are terrible looking. And unnecessary.
