Furniture Delivery at Pier A Park
Odd furniture delivery at Pier A Park in Hoboken
On Friday afternoon, a peculiar furniture delivery took place at Pier A Park.
About a dozen or so “4170 Metal Tables” from Loom Britannia furniture (aka Furniture Design House) were dropped off near the concession cabana in the middle of the park. This furniture company manufactures an array of metal and treated wood outdoor furniture. None of which, by the way, seem permanent – as in “bolted to the ground.”
So we’re wondering why the city would buy something that could easily be damaged, unless perhaps an area of the park is being turning into some kind of food or drink spot?
The only other theory we could come up with that it may be for some private event. But just in time for the winter?
Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.
We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.
