Super Bowl XLII – Giants vs. Patriots

2/4/2008:

Anyone wondering why Washington St. was closed briefly yesterday:

2/3/2008:

What can I say? Unbelievable!

Glad I took the under too!

CONGRATULATIONS to the NEW YORK GIANTS!!

The big day is upon us. This is absolutely the talk of the town. Make your final predictions now!

Again, the Empire State Building shows the blue for everyone. I think they took the red off from two weeks ago on purpose, but will that be bad karma since they won the last time those colors were up?

And for some reason, this picture just popped up on my cell phone last night, like it was a picture from my “friend from the future” telling me what the final score will be. I’m not making any predictions here, but thought it was neat. I actually took this pic the last time the Giants & Pats played. But is everyone so sure the Patriots are good enough to win? Who says the Giants can’t step up and play better? Perhaps win by 10, even 21 points?

1/22/2008:

Figured I’d get this up here now.

For the next two weeks, Hoboken, as well as the entire NYC Tri-State area will be buzzing about the biggest football game in seven years!

Early lines had the Patriots favored by as many as two touchdowns, but has gone down considerably since opening. Current lines range from 11.5 to 12.5 points, with the over/under ranging from 53.5 to 54 points. A great place to check current lines is Doc’s Sports Service. They update the lines from 5 major online gambling sites.

Since the Giants played New England rather well in week 17, I’d expect the spread to lower even more before game time, even into the single digits.

Being a Giants fan myself, I am naturally rooting for them to win, and in the process stopping the Pats from finishing their perfect season. However, if the G-Men hadn’t succeeded, it would have been kind of nice to witness what may be a once-in-a-lifetime sporting feat. Decisions, decisions.

Two polls today. Straight up winner/loser, and low-end betting line as of Tuesday 1/22 at 1:30am. This got me thinking.. Hoboken411 Super Bowl Boxes? (off-line only…)

Yes, reading and having some knowledge is definitely a sign that I should get a life. How dare I share information! What was I thinking? 🙄

Try taking I-95 to the Chester exit, south of Philly. Makes North Philly look like Shangri-La.
