Hoboken Photo Leftovers for December 14th

Hoboken photo remains of the week: December 14, 2013

Hoboken Photo Leftovers December 14 2013 - Hoboken Photo Leftovers for December 14th

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photo 1: {Mockery} The dog run at Stevens Park was closed for more than two weeks. Why? “We needed to order parts.” What bullshit is that? They were awarded the contract months ago! There is a lie embedded somewhere in there. Wonder what the connection between the administration & the contractor is?
  • Photo 2: {Progress} A new Hoboken street has come to life! 11th Street from Sinatra to Hudson is now operational through Maxwell Place. That’s pretty convenient for uptown residents for sure.
  • Photo 3: {Vacancy} The old Wells Fargo (Riviera Bakery) spot on Washington Street is apparently becoming a Real Estate office. Hmmm.
  • Photo 4: {Vanishing Hoboken} The Dave’s Auto Repair building is prety much officially gone. Not the most historic, but a piece of Hoboken removed nonetheless!
  • Photo 5: {Change} And finally, the Ruben Ramos for Mayor campaign posters were finally removed from the old Ralph’s Italian Ices spot at 8th & Washington. It’s now the standard “For Rent” building seen all around Hoboken.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and don’t drive drunk in the snow!

About Hoboken Photo Leftovers

Hoboken Photo Leftovers is part of the Hoboken411 Photo of the Day series.

These are photos that didn’t necessarily warrant an individual posting on Hoboken411.

They may have been related to other stories – or completely independent. These photographs are remnants of our travels in the past week. But equally important in maintaining an historical record of “life as we know it” in the Mile Square City.

At the same time, these photographs may also mirror the unique personal opinion of the publisher of Hoboken411.com.

Regardless, the pictures add to the “virtual encyclopedia” that this site now represents. Thank you for your readership!
