Unsafe to park in Hoboken? Rims nicked

Is it unsafe to park in Hoboken garages?

You think to yourself: “Parking in Hoboken is a pain in the neck. If it’s not boots, it’s potholes, or it takes an hour to find a spot!” And when you find out the condo building you’re living in has a space available, even at $300 a month, you might say “It can’t be unsafe to park in a Hoboken garage like area, right?”

Would you rent a spot in your building?

Hoboken rims get nicked in downtown parking lot

Recently – this sweet Jeep SUV had all four rims stolen right from the underground parking lot over at 652 First Street. Just a block from the “coveted” flood zone near the SkyClub at 700 First Street. Isn’t this supposed to be a safe community where people look out for each other? Or is everyone too busy pecking away at their external brains smartphones?

Oh well – hope the victim had a minimal deductible on their comprehensive portion of their auto insurance!

– while hoboken411 is usually quick to pick up stories from around town, there are a couple of things to point out:
1. this incident happened almost a week prior to this story being featured
2. the car in the photo is not the car related to this story
3. From the the photo in this article, earlier article about a Mercedes Benz, and from speaking to HPD THIS HAPPENS ALOT AROUND TOWN. MUCH MORE THEN IS EVER WRITTEN OR HEARD OF…ALONG WITH A STRING OF PEOPLE BEING CAR JACKED OR SIMPLY STOLEN.

Question: Why is the 2nd picture of the SUV on the street and not in the parking garage in the first picture.

The crack-team cops probably denied the rims were stolen and insisted the owner just misplaced them.

Anywhere within 3-4 blocks of the west side of town is questionable. No matter how much the condos cost.
