I used to live in the city and take my dog to a doggie daycare, and he never came home smelling like concentrated dog urine like he did at graceland — the places in the city take the dogs out for walks at least 3 times a day, and thus the dogs do not need to urinate/deficate inside where they play! I do wish the new owners of Hoboken Unleashed the best of luck…but I am not taking my dog back there until they clean up the smell!

I think your facility is part of the problem, I had a tour last month and it seems to me when you first walk in the reception area is this nice place with a flatscreen tv and a modern look, and then you go into the back were the dogs are kept and it looks(and smells) like shit. The area where the dogs are kept & play looks like a filthy warehouse that was never converted-thats part of my problem with leaving my dog there. Hoboken unleashed is it true the warehouse is shutting down in a year?-I think that would be for the best, if you moved to a new place with a outdoor area! No auto responce please!

There are lots of great dog walkers in town, as a day-care alternative.

From personal experience, I can reoommend Audrey Mahar, 201. 232.9204. Jessica Nearhoof is also lovely, 201.401.9498.

Also, some not-so-great dog walkers in town. Sorry to discredit, but some of Pat’s Pets’ workers are less-than-trustworthy & really dislike Brian Freeman’s company, b/c he reportedly (from a walker of his, who quit), totally exploits his workers… (allegedly pays them a pittance & pockets the rest).

Beowoof & Cornerstone can be good resources for reputable dog-walkers.

Pups really don’t thrive being indoors all day, in pens w/no sight-line to their mates. It seems Graceland made some bad design choices from the beginning in that regard. If you’re even reading this, you know that just like us, dogs need lots of opportunity to excercise. Much better to find a solid dog-walker & get your pup outdoors to romp.

Might ultimately be more cost-effective, too, to hire a dog-walker!
 What? could be true, that about giving medical attention to any dog that may need it. But why there is so many accidents/ I hear that I little dog got bit the las week. why? they should hired professional people no just liars and unexperienced employees, I think that should be the first step in order to make Graceland a Better and reliable place, then I could think about sending my doggie for day care like I used to do. “xxxx”

I want to try and please everyone, but I know that I can’t. We work with the same 100 dogs on a weekly basis and their parents are very happy with our service. But Mike and I are not satisfied and we have alot of ideas that we will be implementing soon. For now, all I can say is stop by and talk to Mike or I and see the place for yourself! Thanks! :D
