Finnegan’s – 724 Willow Avenue – Hoboken, NJ
Rogo’s was a bit of a misfit in town, lacking any real identity. Finnegan’s is more of an “Irish Pub,” complete with Guinness on draft, darts, pool table and of course the requisite television panels to display sports or news media broadcasts. They even have traditional food like Shepherds Pies and “Bangers and Mash.” Weekly specials include “Burger & a Beer” for $10, 50-cent wings, and discounts on tacos, pizza and wine.
In addition to the typical Irish pub offerings, they’ll also have acoustic music from local musicians.
What’s nice is that the owner, Eoin Finnegan, will actually work at the bar he owns. That was one of our draws to Nag’s Head downtown back in the day when owner Barney was the lead tending bar.
Good Luck, Finnegan’s Pub!
