Hoboken Photo Leftovers October 12 2013 - Hoboken Photo Leftovers for October 12th

In the Hoboken Photo Leftovers gallery below:

  • Photos 1-3: {Ongoing}. Elysian Park makeover continues. In this update, they also destroyed a perfectly functional playground. Kind of sucks doesn’t it? I know a new “fancy” one is coming. But couldn’t they have salvaged and re-sold to a blighted community or something?
  • Photos 3-4: The 14th Street “Jeopardy.” According to engineers – that area is simply not safe, and may be on the precipice of collapse at any moment, which is why all the darn “remediation” noise.
  • Photo 5: Wow. The Park and Garden Hoboken apartment complex is making incredible progress, considering the scope of this project. Kudos to Bijou Properties for a well-managed site.
  • Photo 6: Coldwell Bankers Realtor completed their move from 1st & Washington to a “state of the art” location at 323 Washington. Keller Williams will be taking over the old spot.
  • Photo 7: Pretty standard “scary spider” Halloween Decorations over at the Shipyard. However, one passerby was perplexed at what those white blobs were supposed to be over the spiders. He said they looked like “Frozen Purdue Turkeys.” What are they? Eggs?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Hoboken!

About Hoboken Photo Leftovers

Hoboken Photo Leftovers is part of the Hoboken411 Photo of the Day series.

These are photos that didn’t necessarily warrant an individual posting on Hoboken411.

They may have been related to other stories – or completely independent. These photographs are remnants of our travels in the past week. But equally important in maintaining an historical record of “life as we know it” in the Mile Square City.

At the same time, these photographs may also mirror the unique personal opinion of the publisher of Hoboken411.com.

Regardless, the pictures add to the “virtual encyclopedia” that this site now represents. Thank you for your readership!
