Opening this weekend is another cookie-cutter thriller called “Getaway,” starring Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez.
“Former race-car driver Brent Magna is pitted against the clock when his wife is kidnapped by a mysterious villain. He commanders a young woman’s car and takes her on on a high-speed race against time.”
No real comprehensive reviews as of yet – which typically means it sucks ass. The ones I found were brief. Like “Watch at home when it comes out on DVD or cable,” and “average cliche action film.”
A more upbeat reviewer indicated the “chemistry” between Hawke and Gomez was good, and that the action fit the big screen appropriately.
Either way – your money – and your time. You choose what to do with it.
