Styrofoam Mountain Action Park
Welcome to Styrofoam Mountain Action Park in Hoboken!
Oh boy. Some of you might already know that, under public pressure, Pier C Park was “partially” opened by the city last weekend. Not the classiest situation, though. Hoboken411 “substitute mascot” Norton told us that he though it’s more like a “Styrofoam Mountain Action Park,” as he romped through the loose dirt and artificial building material left behind by Hurricane Sandy.
Most people I spoke with were okay with the partial reopening, but hope the city won’t have another lawsuit on their hands if some kids get injured.
Enjoy our “waterfront in a perpetual state of repair!”
Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.
We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.
