Reader Mail: Government Waste

Today, a Hoboken411 reader (and taxpayer) commented about this weekends “Good News” section of the Hoboken Reporter.

He writes:

“Dear 411 ,

I love trees, but if Roberts or Richard T want to cut waste all one has to do is take a look at the city Tree planting photo in front of North Fork Bank.

There was Jimmy Ronga, (Shade Tree), Joe Peluso (Director), Mr DeAngelo (Former Florist turned City Horticulturist after his store went Belly-up) and two employees from Hufnagel’s.

All to plant a Tree?

When I was in Scouts two kids could plant a tree. When I first moved to Hoboken I was part of the Environment Committee we planted trees.

It took two people and one city backhoe. Not to mention no conga line camera Ops back then.

Just wondering when was the last time an issue of the Hoboken Reporter came out that didn’t have at least one photo of Roberts.

If a tree is planted in Hoboken and the newspaper isn’t there to take a photo, does it make a sound?

kooky kat

Mysteriously missing: Giant scissors!

Just waiting for someone to complain that the trees get in the way of pushing their strollers down Washington when they are trying to walk in a stroller brigade.
